College Parent Committee
The aim of our College Committee is to maintain a connection with the college students of The Community Synagogue.
We provide greeting and gift packages for Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah, Purim and Passover, and look for opportunities to provide relevant information and literature such as opportunities for students to participate in Kesher either on their college campus or in national activities.
Our goal is to ensure that every college student feels that they are still an active part of our temple community.
Off to College? Please let us know
It is never to early to let us know where our high school graduates will be in the fall, or where our college students are currently. Please let us know the following information, so we can keep in touch. Send Riki Potter an e-mail ([email protected]) and include the following information so we can keep in touch:
Expected Year of Graduation
Your school e-mail address
In addition, please encourage college students to log on to the Reform Movement’s College Website.
Free Israel Trips Offered to Post High School Students
Birthright Israel offers free ten-day trips to Israel for young Jewish adults, ages 18-26, who have never been on an educational trip to Israel. That's right, the family trip doesn't count. If this describes you, or someone close to you, consider participating in the Reform Movement's birthright Israel experience. For those who have never been to Israel, or who have not been on a peer/educational program, this trip is often a life-changing experience. Birthright Israel is a unique partnership between the people of Israel through their government, local Jewish communities and Federations and leading Jewish philanthropists.
