Music is Integral to Worship at TCS
Our sanctuaries and school rooms are filled with the sounds of Jewish music - from ancient to modern, Eastern European to Ashkenazic to Sephardic and beyond. Join us in song and help keep alive a wondrous tradition.
Our Shabbat and festival services in the Main Sanctuary are often enhanced by the sound of our choir. The Community Synagogue’s music program is led by Cantor Claire Franco, with our accompanist Vladimir Polezhayev.
If you love to sing and make music, you are invited to join the TCS Choir. The Community Synagogue can provide you with an exciting way to enjoy the art of music and song along with the fun of learning together with music lovers like you.
The Choir sings at monthly Erev Shabbat services, during the Days of Awe and for special services and events during the year. Musicians of all levels are welcome to sing with the Choir, and you don't have to read music to join. If you are interested in Choir, call or e-mail Cantor Franco. Children who love to sing are invited to participate throughout the year in special musical services and events.
