Action on Gun Violence


On December 4, 2015, in the aftermath of the San Bernardino shooting, Rabbi Danny delivered a sermon about the need for us, as a community, to take action on gun violence. His sermon is available here and below it you will find resources to help take action on gun violence. 

Take action on Gun Violence: 


The Religious Action Center as part of the Reform movement has been the hub of Jewish social justice and legislative activity in Washington DC.

They have been engaged in the campaign to end gun violence in America and there are a number of different opportunities for action available on their website:  There you will find Jewish resources on the subject of gun violence and a number of ways that you can take action.


The Brady Campaign to prevent gun violence has been at the forefront of efforts in this country to introduce legislation to stop gun violence. 

There aim is to cut gun deaths in half by 2025 and they have a number of resources related to the cause, and a number of ways for people to take action: Their campaign revolves around a call to change laws, to change the gun industry, and to change culture.


The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence is an organization that campaigns for a future free from gun violence. 

Responding to issues related to gun violence they have a number of opportunities for people to contact elected officials and others in light of comments or decisions related to the subject of gun violence: Their website includes information about a number of issues around the subject of gun violence.

     Everytown for Gun Safety is a movement of Americans working together to end gun viol and build safer communities. 


Through their website there are a number of actions that you can take to support action on gun violence, including resources for contacting your Senator: The website deals with a number of issues related to gun violence, offering resources and information on a range of the issues.
